Detail Guyz Detailing, Driven by Detail

Gelcoat Chalks. We Bring It Back.

Gelcoat that has been sitting in the sun goes chalky and loses its reflection. Rub a finger across it and you get a white residue. That is oxidation, and washing does nothing for it. It has to be cut back mechanically, exactly like paint correction on a car.

  • Hull wash and waterline stain removal
  • Compound and polish to cut oxidation out of the gelcoat
  • Marine wax or sealant to hold the finish through the season
  • Stainless and aluminum polished, rails and hardware cleaned
  • Vinyl seating cleaned and conditioned, canvas and isinglass treated
  • Interior deck, storage lockers and cockpit detailed out

Spring commissioning and fall shrink-wrap prep are the two visits that make the biggest difference to how a boat looks in year five.

Where We Work

On the trailer in your driveway, in the yard where it is stored, or dockside. Tell us where it sits and we will come to it.

Boat on the trailer during a marine detail

Season Prep

Full cut-and-polish before launch so the boat starts the season with protection on it instead of picking up a summer of UV bare.

Mid-Season Refresh

Waterline stains, bug and film removal, vinyl wipe-down and a wax top-up so it looks right for the back half of the summer.

Winterization Clean

Cleaned and protected before it gets wrapped, so nothing spends five months sitting under plastic eating into the gelcoat.

Marine wax or sealant, metal polished, vinyl and canvas conditioned for the season.

I can’t recommend highly enough of these guyz. There are so many detailers out there today, I couldn’t be happier with what they achieved with my truck and them being mobile my truck is better than new and i will definitely be using them again. Plus they have great communication

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Driveway, storage yard or dockside. We bring water, power and everything else. Just tell us where it sits and whether there is access.
Oxidation is gelcoat that has broken down under UV. It looks chalky and leaves white residue on your hand. It cannot be washed off. It has to be compounded out mechanically. In most cases we bring the reflection right back.
It scales with length and condition. A clean 20-footer is a day; a heavily oxidized hull needing a full compound and polish is longer. We quote after seeing it.
Spring before launch and fall before wrap are the two high-value visits. Spring slots fill fast, so booking ahead of the launch rush is worth it.
Yes. Canvas cleaned and treated, isinglass cleaned with products that will not craze it. Household glass cleaner will ruin isinglass.
